91st Annual Convention of The Florida State Grotto Association September 25th & 26th, 2020

Prophets and Ladies,

Due to circumstances beyond our control with the recent roof replacement on Ormazd Grotto building, the air conditioning isn’t going to be fully operational for the convention. Therefore we have been forced to come up with Plan C, which is to move all activities that were occurring at the Grotto to the Bahia Shrine Center just up the road. I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my fellow nobles for helping us with this venue change last minute. This is what true Masonry is all about!

We have extended our deadline to register until September 18th and were able to get the hotel to extend the discounted rate, so be sure to reserve your hotel accommodations and get the below registration form sent in with your payment ASAP.

Florida Grotto Secretaries, remember to turn in your necrology report to the FSGA Executive Secretary, John Borsa, PM, PPFSGA ASAP to have your deceased prophets and ladies included in the program.

We will do our best to observe any and all Covid-19 related ordinances in place at the time of the convention and will only ask everyone to do what makes them comfortable. We only ask that you b respectful of other Prophets and their level of comfort.

In closing, I want to wish Ormazd Grotto a Happy 90th birthday! I look forward to seeing all of you in Louisville and in Orlando in a couple of weeks!

Samoor Grotto Carrabbas Annual Fundraiser

Brothers, Prophets, Ladies, and Families;
 
This Saturday June, 27th 2020 at 11 A.M. at the Carrabbas on Stickney point we will be hosting our yearly fundraising! The crew needs to be at the restaurant by 10:30, doors will open promptly at 11. All Crew will be in gloves and masks. Dress is casual with lodge OR Grotto polos. We still have unsold tickets so if you missed out buying one come on down and we will fit you in! As with everything if you don’t feel well or you have a health concern PLEASE stay home or do take out. We want to see you happy and healthy! Till Saturday Brothers, Prophets, and Ladies!

FSGA Mid-Year Cancelled

By the directive of The Grand Master of Florida, The FSGA Mid-Year meeting has been cancelled in order to prevent the further spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19). Please stay safe, and I hope to see you at the Annual Convention in September.

SMMA District 18 VALSPAR appleal 2-3-20

Brothers, Sisters, Family, Friends we need your help……… The SUNCOAST MASTER MASONS ASSOCIATION for district 18, needs your help, we need volunteers to help us man a food tent at the VALSPAR OPEN GOLF event at INNISBROOK GOLF COURSE this march 16th – 22nd below is a list of dates and times we still need to fill. call Patrick Lynch 727-409-2957 or email vip1270@gmail.com or pclsal1@yahoo.com or pclsal1@gmail.com asap. The food tent is on the PGA Golf Course it is quite a Beautiful Course, we serve hamburgers, hotdogs, etc you can work at the counter , sales, or in the back preparing food, it is very low key and laid back, Lunch is provided to you as well as parking, this will be are 2nd year for this event, the proceeds go to the Grand Masters Homecoming at the Masonic home , which you are invited too, and Charity, please help we need it. here is a link to the event

As you can see there are 29 spots to FILL yet. WE NEED THESE FILLED NO LATER THAN 2/5/20

 New Calendar – the Selama Secretary has a new calendar for use of the Selama Grotto building. It is posted outside of his office. If your event at the Grotto is not listed there then it is not happening at the Grotto. Consult him early and in writing. Conflicts resolved by dueling pistols. Money helps avoid conflicts.
