FSGA Annual Convention – Sept. 21-23 Deadline to Register Extended

Good afternoon my fellow Prophets,

The start of our FSGA Annual Convention (Sept. 21st – 23rd ) is rapidly approaching and I have only received registration forms from 5 Prophets, but have room reservations from 14 Prophets.  Obviously, we have Prophets that have reserved rooms, but still, need to register and I must give the hotel the final headcount for the banquet by September 9th.

Please note that the deadline to reserve your room at the contract rates was supposed to expire tomorrow, but I have negotiated an extension until Monday, August 28th.  We still have 24 rooms in our block, but you must reserve your room on or before Monday, August 28thto get the contract room rate.  Our contract with The Plantation requires that we sell at least 30 rooms so I need at least 16 more prophets to make their room reservations to avoid being charged for unused rooms.  Please call the Plantation reservations at 352-795-5797  and tell them you are with the Florida State Grotto.

A couple of prophets have asked about the attire for the Convention:

  1. Business meetings – Officers in suits and all others in Grotto shirts or business casual;
  2. Banquet and Installation – FSGA Officers and Installation team in white dinner jackets and all others either white dinner jackets or suits.

As a special favor, I am asking that you forward this email to all your fellow Prophets in hopes that we might attract some new participants and ideas to add to the usual group of leaders that attend.

If you have any questions concerning this information, please contact me at 813-289-2464 Ext 100 (office) or 813-220-6126 (cell phone).

Thanks in advance for your assistance with this request!

See you in Crystal River!!!!!!
